Question
In the following number pairs, the second number is obtained by performing certain mathematical operations on the first number.
What numbers should replace X and Y so that the pattern of the two numbers to the left of :: sign is the same as the pattern of the two numbers to the right of :: sign?
(Note: Operations must be performed on whole numbers, without breaking the number into its component digits. Take 13 for example - operations on 13 such as addition/subtraction/multiplying by 13 etc. can be performed only on 13. Breaking 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.)
X : 37 :: 2 : Y
